US Presidents With Hearing Loss

Have you ever wondered which US Presidents have been known to have hearing loss or wear hearing aids? While we know much about their legacies, we would like to highlight the presidents who were open about their hearing loss while in office or later in life.

Although Ronald Reagan was the only known president to wear a hearing aid while in office, hearing loss started with our first president, George Washington. Here is a list of US Presidents with hearing loss:

  • George Washington

  • Herbert Hoover

  • Thomas Jefferson

  • Theodore Roosevelt

  • George H.W. Bush

  • Ronald Reagan

  • Bill Clinton

Great leaders have hearing loss too! What an inspiration to those living with hearing loss today. We recommend annual hearing evaluations, so even if it's your first visit please contact Compass Hearing Center or your local Audiologist.
